When Plus is useful

Keep your free report if it answers your question. Plus is for keeping it current and looking beyond that first account and speed.

  • You have played more games. Update after enough new eligible games arrive; practise positions from the newer report.
  • You play another account or speed. Get a report for it, or read more games from the account you started with.
  • You want every practice position open. Plus opens them all. Free practice opens 5 new positions a day from it; positions you have started come back on their schedule.

How this comparison was checked

Sources, limits and other options

TrueElo wrote this comparison from published sources. We did not buy plans or test competitors' imports, analysis or practice. Prices retain their displayed currency.

The Blackbox public sample was readable. Published features do not establish which tool gives better lessons, handles data better or improves your results.

For individual game review, Chesslume advertises reports and own-blunder puzzles. A single-game report does not show what repeats across your history.

ChessMonitor's free plan links one Chess.com and one Lichess account for openings and result statistics. Its custom-database limit is separate from linked-account history.

TrueElo counts mistakes in played games. Neither finishing practice nor a change between reports proves rating gain or that practice caused improvement.
